Our first yellow plumeria of the season! We were very excited. The best way I can describe the scent of this flower is.........try to imagine smelling a sunset. Yes, it's scumptiously amazing. Kisses to my Kirb for planting several of these and giving them his tender love and care. Thanks for growing me sunsets baby!

Had a blast at the HOOKS game Friday night. Complete at the end with an awesome fireworks show. Went with Mariah's family, and we made it through all the innings with kids running wild and everything. Cotton Candy, the Chicken dance, and a playground helped. Oh, and the HOOKS won also. Gwen says this is because her and Jack cheered soo loud. Mia, didn't really like the fireworks, as you can see Gwen took care of her.

today I spent 3 hours in Target, helping Gwen try and on and decide on 3 new outfits for summer. I decided , clothes she picked out herself would be a good use of the birthday money I was allowing to stack up in her piggy bank. I guess I was thinking she may want to use it for a car when she graduates........ Well upon returning home, she tried them all on again, and decided none were confortable right now. I'm not completely put out by this. I did my job and now she has clothes she likes, or at least did like for 3 hours in Target.
The pic is of the girls helping me with laundry.

Here is what Mariah and I did today. Hers was perfect and mine well, quite less than perfect. I did two but can not bring myself to post the second. Crissy would have been very proud of us though. We talked about you the whole time McJane, about how you have all these hidden talents and secrets, ie.. blogging. We wish we could be as mysterious and talented as you.
My sweet husband let me have a nap after my long hard day of doing crafts and having lunch with my friend. Right now I'm listening to him learn to to play a Nora Jones song on his guitar. Very comforting and peaceful.

Family in

town today. Meg's boyfriend Jake came along. This is him in the pic. He's adorable, I totally approve. Beached it , then ordered yummy Padre Pizza. I way stuffed myself with mushroom, tomato, onion yumminess. Then ate these awesome parmesan breadsticks. Full Full Full............ The beach was fun, big sand piles for the girls to play in. Claire looks like a sugar cookie when she's done playing. Gwen practiced surfing on a skim board with Kirby , she laughed the whole time. It's nice when she can take herself lightly. I sat on my butt the whole time, just chillin with my mom and dad. Needed some down time, and it was nice to hang with them. The girls are psyched they are here. It's so nice to have my girls be in so in love with their grandparents.
Off to read Grisham. I've said that the past few nights and fell asleep with the book in my hand, not even opened. Hopefully tonight I can get into the story.

My JANES rock............( I'm referring to the original ones)

What an awesome couple of days. The beach couldn't have been better, the kids were good, we got some sun, and best of all I got to just kick back with two of my favorite people. I really needed that. Also loved B &Js Pizza, very cool little dive, just my style. Mariah, sorry you missed out on the all vege one, we know you would have just gone nuts over it. Hee hee. It's good to have friends that you can just "be" with. Everyone needs some of those around. NO expectations, no other agendas and no fakeness. Just a bunch of laughing and listening and talkin. Some deep, some not, but it doesn't matter, cuz we're just together.
Everybody needs a JANE.

Flowers from Kirb

These are some of my favorite flowers , I call them tufty tuffs. They look fluffy in real life. Kirby brought them home today for me. Very sweet. Was needing somethin sweet after a looong evening with kiddos.
The girls are sleeping in the same bed now , so it takes them forever to go to sleep. But , hearing them laugh is soo much better than listening to Gwen scream and cry. She likes having Claire there with her. I am about to wind down with a shower and read some of my newest Grisham novel, "The Rainmaker" then watch news with Kirb.
Can't wait to see my Janes tomorrow.

Here we are, strutting our Easter duds!
Crissy, this pic of me is for you, to see my belly.

Here's my yummy cake I made on Easter.
Angel Pineaplle Lush. It was lucious.I was proud.

Gotta love going to the beach on Easter! I really really love living here on Padre Island. The sand, the sun, the water.......I want to soak it all in and it totally refreshes me!

beautiful Easter. Had my sis in town and did all the traditional fun stuff, ie. dye eggs, hunt eggs, eat chocolate, grill, and go to the church. Our service was great, Pastor Bil did a great job of presenting the gospel in a fresh way. I was happy that amongst the all the commotion of hosting family and celebrating with the kids, at least a couple of times during the day I had a a few moments to reflect on what Christ resurrection really means to me and have some intimate words with Jesus. I am truly a different person than I would be, with the hope and New Life He gives.
Well that's my deep stuff. Gonna go clean my kitchen and make some coffee, got a screamin headache, probablly sugar withdrawl!

better day. picked Gwen up early from school to spend some one on one with her. It kinda worked to change behavior. Best part of the day was planting my vege garden. I really dig being in the sunshine, getting down on the ground and getting my hands dirty. I have high hopes for my little tomatos, squash, cucumbers and strawberry!

this is a day I don't really want to remember. Gwen's attitude has pretty much dominated our day and it has not been pretty since about 8am! Because I'm pregnant I'm sure it's worse emotionally but I literally wanted to run- out of the house this morning with Claire and not come back until Kirby got home, praying Gwen would be safe. Instead I tearfully walked across the street to my neighbors, The Grundy's, and ask if Claire could hang out with them for a few minutes while I tried to regain some control and peace in our home. Poor , sweet Claire. I'm fearful her sweetness is going to get jaded by the older sister's dramatic mood swings. The Grundy's helped and then prayed with me. Gotta love when people remember to take the issue straight to our Father, thank you Jesus for my sweet neighbors. After that, Mariah showed up, responding to my earlier crying message for help. And , you know I hate to cry infront of people! So Mariah came and Jack and Mia endured Gwen's sour attitude for a couple of hours. May Mariah be ever richly blessed today ! Thank you Jesus for friends who are there right when you need them! I almost cried when she left, I was alone with HER again.
We are doing okay at the moment it's 4:30 and bed-time is going to come very early for a certain 4yr old. Thank goodness , KIrby is home this evening. He has such a calming effect on me. Thank you Jesus for my husband. I'm including pics of the present peaceful moment of the girls actually playing nicely together.

told you I was addicted. This is like having a diary with pictures! Sunday morning.....thinking about having a another cup of coffee, even though being pregnant can make it not so tasty in the mornings.
Claire has an earache this morning, so I think that will keep us inside alot. Gonna work on some frames I need to make and catch up on some reading, then work on some JANES stuff. My biblestudy was about praying this morning, it was hilarious because despite my efforts to rise early (6:15am) the girls woke before 7am and were suffocating me on my lap, while I tried to think about what I needed to pray about. I know God understands.

Sand fest was fun. An all around fun-day outside. Kirby and I's favorite kinda days. The sculptures were cool, the weather was good and girls were well behaved. Had some great Mexican food after and then headed down-town to cruise the bay and scope houses that might be for sell, that are cheap of course. Went to church after all that, sandy and all. Gotta love a church you can go to with sand in your hair.

okay blogging is kinda addicting, I thought about my blogsite all-night. Trying to decide if I should concentrate on the kids or just do it for myself. Should I share it, or not? Woke at 5:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. Claire and I are having breakfast now, and the sunrise is really gorgeous here on the island. I would take a pic, but my batteries are dead. The wind is wicked strong, and I hope it calms down before Sand Fest today. Am about to go pick up Gwen and look at a house by the bay, KIrby thinks we should maybe buy. He says it's going to appreiciate really fast. Gonna finish my yummy Mexico Coffee and then leave the casa so Kirby can sleep without a loud baby in the house.
hasta

This is my first blog ever. Just trying out this post my thoughts to the world thing. My friends have started doing it and it seems good and kinda therapeutic for them. I am up much later than normal, drank coffee at Mjanes this evening. Gwen is spending the night with Jack tonight, and I already kinda miss her. I wonder if when they're 16 they will still be doing this.......probablly not!
Feeling very prego tonight, I think it was too much LIFE cereal and milk. Am glad to be having some energy at night though. Tomorrow is suppose to be beautiful and we are going to Sand Fest in Port "A." WE went last year and it was really cool. Looking forward to smelling like the beach, excpet I wish I had bought a swimsuit conducive to my new shape. I had a cute one picked out at TArget but the girls were being way too fussy to even think about going to the changing room with them.
okay that's all for now. maybe my next blog will be more interesting...
